Directions for Use
Apply this release agent with a clean, lint-free cotton wiping cloth. Wet the cloth with LOCTITE Frekote WOLO until it is damp but not dripping, then wipe a smooth, wet film over the entire mold surface. For larger molds, apply the product to the surface one section at a time, starting at one end and working toward the other. Continue to work the material into the mold by lightly wiping the wet film for 10-30 seconds until a thin and uniform coating is obtained, then allow the product to evaporate.
Allow a minimum of 5 minutes before applying the next coat, and apply a minimum of four coats in this manner, dampening the cloth lightly as needed. Allow the final coat to cure for 15 minutes at 20°C.
Avoiding Streaking and Moisture Exposure
If the cloth dries out during the coating process, dampen it again or make sure it stays just damp and not soaking wet. Avoid over-application, since this can cause streaking on the tooling surface; any streaks or wipe lines can be removed easily by wiping the mold surface lightly with a dry cloth. This product is moisture sensitive, so the container should be kept tightly closed when not in use.
Maximizing the Number of Releases
For the maximum number of releases, apply a touch-up coat after the first 2-3 parts are released, as a break-in period following the initial application. On deep or high-wear areas of the mold, apply an extra 1-2 coats of LOCTITE Frekote WOLO to further increase slip in these high-drag areas.
