Vipel L758-NTI-15

Vipel L758-NTI-15 is a high-modulus isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin for heat-cured CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) rehabilitation of sewer and drainage pipes, with fast felt impregnation and good water and chemical resistance.

Vipel L758-NTI-15 is a high-modulus isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin from AOC for heat-cured pipe rehabilitation. Composites made with Vipel L758-NTI-15 provide a trenchless solution for the fast repair of sewer and drainage pipes by the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) relining process. The resin offers good water and chemical corrosion resistance, long storage stability at room temperature, and fast cure at elevated temperature.

Key Features

  • Filled resin quickly impregnates polyester felt liners
  • Helps prevent resin drainage from the liner
  • Suitable for both thick-wall and thin-wall liners
  • Controllable working time
  • Achieves the expected liner dimensions
  • High long-term property retention in service

Applications of Vipel L758-NTI-15 CIPP Resin

The resin is mainly used in the heat-cured relining of existing pipes. Typical projects are municipal sewer and storm-water drainage pipes, where a resin-impregnated felt liner is inverted or pulled into the old pipe and then cured in place with hot water or steam, restoring the pipe without excavation. Its water and chemical resistance supports long service life in wastewater conditions.

For pipe and tank work that needs higher corrosion resistance, compare it with vinyl ester grades such as Atlac 430, or browse our full resin catalog.

Processing Guidelines

  1. Weigh all raw materials accurately.
  2. Pre-disperse powdered curing agents in styrene to form a uniform paste.
  3. Mix the resin and curing agents thoroughly in a mixer.
  4. Control the temperature throughout mixing.
  5. During roller impregnation, maintain the vacuum and a suitable impregnation speed.
  6. In summer or when the workshop is hot, add ice; impregnated liners should be transported refrigerated (-10℃ to 20℃).
  7. Cure pipes of different diameters following the recommended cure curve.

Use the resin under good working conditions and stir it evenly before use.

Storage

Store Vipel L758-NTI-15 in a dark, dry place at 5℃–30℃. Higher storage temperatures shorten shelf life and may change resin properties, and styrene-containing resins degrade quickly when exposed to light. Keep it only in dark, 100% light-tight containers away from direct sunlight. The TDS and SDS are available on request.
